'Agni-5 has put India in the elite club'

The Indian army will have to wait four to five years to acquire Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile Agni-5, which was successfully tested on 19 April by the Defence Research and Development Organisation. Sheela Bhatt reports

"The standard cycle for development of a missile is in the range of 3 to 7 years. But the country is now capable of delivering it much earlier as the basic building blocks for producing and deployment of long-range missile are in place," Saraswat said.
