A sessions court on Monday held that the offence of 'culpable homicide not amounting to murder' under the Indian Penal Code had been made out against Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a 2002 hit-and-run case and rejected his appeal challenging a Magistrate's order invoking this charge.
A Mumbai sessions court will on June 10 deliver its verdict on actor Salman Khan's appeal against a magistrate's order for his retrial in the 2002 hit-and-run case under stringent charge of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
Actor Salman Khan was on Friday directed by a Mumbai sessions court to appear before it on July 24 for framing of charges, setting the stage for start of a fresh trial for culpable homicide in the 2002 hit-and-run case for which he can face a jail term upto 10 years.
