Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh was on Wednesday briefed about the security situation in the wake of the killing of five Indian jawans along the Line of Control in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
Aiming to further enhance their coordination, commanders of the IAF and Army formations deployed along the Pakistan border met in New Delhi to discuss their operational preparedness and strengthen cooperation.
As the last journey of the five jawans martyred in the Pakistani attack in Poonch began from Jammu, Army Chief Gen Bikram Singh on Wednesday laid wreaths on their bodies.
