A team of investigative agencies, probing the Mumbai serial blasts, are in Nepal to track some key elements of the Indian Mujahideen. Nepal has always been a safe hide-out for terrorists like Sabhahuddin, Asfak Ahmed Shah and Riyaz Khatir who have all sought shelter in Nepal after carrying out a terror attack on Indian soil. A key operative of the Indian Mujahideen, suspected to be behind several terror attacks in India, has reportedly taken shelter in Nepal.
Though the Mumbai police have sought for the custody of Sabahuddin first, Ansari's interrogation will be the key to the Mumbai terror attack case. While Sabahuddin played the role of a financer more than a plotter, Ansari is the man who did the recce in Mumbai and also prepared sketches of the locations that were attacked on 2/11/2008.
Investigations revealed that the Riyazuddin Naseer had emailed Hamza asking him to return to Karnataka, so that more operations could be carried out jointly.
