The single judge bench of Justice S Rachaiah in its judgement recently said, "Once PW.1 (complainant woman) is considered as second wife of the petitioner, obviously, the complaint filed against the petitioner for the offence under Section 498-A of IPC ought not to have been entertained."
Justice Gopinath P said the court needs to examine the statement of a movie director in the fresh case against the actor and five others and would hear the matter on Tuesday.
The Kerala high court on Tuesday asked the police not to take any action against actor Dileep, in connection with a new case registered against him and five others for allegedly threatening investigation officers probing the sexual assault of an actress back in 2017, till January 14.
Justice Gopinath P asked the accused to handover the phones in a sealed box by 10.15 am on January 31.
The actor and four others--his brother, brother-in-law, driver and a friend, appeared before the crime branch officials at 9 am for interrogation as directed by the Kerala high court.
Actor Dileep and others, who appeared before the Crime Branch office here on Sunday in a case registered against them for allegedly threatening officials probing the sexual assault of an actress in 2017, were interrogated for 11 hours.
"We know from our visit how dedicated all the staff in Kaziranga are in caring for the park's wildlife, and can only begin to imagine what a difficult time this must be," he said.
