Mathai George George Muthoot joined the family business as an office assistant and in 1979 he became the managing director and group chairman in February 1993.
The Kerala high court reserved its judgment on Thursday on a petition seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the murder of Muthoot business group scion Paul Muthoot George in August 2009.
Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan on Friday dismissed Opposition Congress' charge that his son had links with those wanted in connection with the recent murder of Muthoot group scion Paul M George, asserting that the government had nothing to hide in the case."My son (Beenish Kodiyeri) has no relation with the case whatsoever," he said.The government had nothing to hide in the case and was open to 'any sort of investigation', he added.
Petitioner, Borris Paul of Kollam, Secretary of Young Lawyers Association, had submitted that the investigation be handed over to CBI as the present probe was not going in the right direction. He had also sought a free, fair and impartial investigation in the case relating to the murder of George.
