The US Olympic Committee said on Monday they were told by the US government that President Donald Trump's ban on visitors from some Muslim-majority countries should not impact athletes travelling to the United States for international events.
The United States will bid for the 2024 Olympics, seeking to host the Summer Games for the first time since 1996.
Dallas, Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Washington, San Diego and Tulsa have expressed varying degrees of interest in hosting the sporting extravaganza.
Boston was selected on Thursday as the American candidate city that will bid to host the 2024 Olympics.
