Ousted Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is "very sad and sorry" over accusations that he ordered live ammunition be fired on protesters during an uprising that toppled his regime, his attorney said on Monday.
Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison in 2012 for taking part in killing over 200 protesters during the 18-day revolt which began on January 25, 2011, but a retrial was ordered on appeal.
Ousted Egyptian strongman Hosni Mubarak's last remaining conviction was on Tuesday overturned by a court that ordered a retrial in a graft case which could pave the way for his possible release from jail in a dramatic reversal of fortune.
