TI report, which placed 42 oil and gas companies into three tiers based on their level of transparency in revenue disclosure, clubbed ONGC with China's CNOOC and CNPC, Russia's Lukoil and US-based ExxonMobil Corp in the lowest tier for disclosing information only by geographical segment and providing almost no additional information.
Sources said ONGC Videsh Ltd, the overseas arm of state explorer, and GAIL have made a non-biding offer showing interest in acquiring Exxon's stake.
Petronet has concluded term sheets for all agreements for buying 1.5 million tonnes a year of LNG from Exxon Mobil Corp for 20 years, beginning 2014, company Managing Director and CEO Prosad Dasgupta told PTI. Petronet will import the LNG at its under-construction Kochi terminal in Kerala.
