The aircraft, carrying 144 people onboard including 15 Indians, had gone off radar on Saturday shortly after taking off from Douala for Nairobi in torrential rain.
India said it is in touch with its High Commission in Nairobi following the crash.
The airliner has asked those willing to visit Douala to submit their travel details, including the name of the passenger who was onboard the ill-fated aircraft.
