Indian sportstars from Virat Kohli to double Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar to badminton ace Saina Nehwal took to social media to extend greetings on Republic Day.

'The future depends on what we do today. Let's be the strength of our nation and help it reach greater heights. Wishing everyone a Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind,' Kohli tweeted.

'Happy Republic Day to all Indians.. Jai Jawaan Jai kisaan,' double Olympic medallist wrestler Sushil Kumar tweeted.

'Wishing all of us a very happy #RepublicDay! May the timeless principles on which our great nation stands be our ever guiding light,' Sachin Tendulkar tweeted.

'Happy 72nd Republic Day,' said Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal.
