Bhupathi-Mirnyi in semis of ATP Masters

Indian tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi entered the doubles semi-finals in the 2.45-million dollar ATP Masters tennis event in Madrid, Spain, on Friday.

The second seeded Indo-Belarusian pair beat Jiri Novak and Pavel Vizner of the Czech Republic 6-7, 7-6, 6-3 in the quarter-finals.

They meet the winners of the quarter-final match between Albert.Costa/Martin Verkerk and Jonas Bjorkman/Todd Woodbridge.

In the other quarter-finals, Jarred.Palmer/David Rikl beat Martin.Damm/Cyril.Suk 6-3, 4-6, 7-6, while Wayne Black and Kevin Ullyet beat Daniel Nestor and Mark Knowles 6-1, 6-7, 6-3.
