Museum of Sex, New York

A bouncy castle called ‘Jump for Joy’, a ‘Tunnel of Love’ and all a lot more surprises await visitors at 2002-founded Fifth Avenue museum in New York. The carnival continues at the Museum of Sex that threw open a new amusement park -- Funland -- in the last week of June.       

Bompass and Parr, the art duo behind the exhibition, hope to take Funland to London once its New York run is through.

Erotic Heritage Museum, Las Vegas

On June 7, the Las Vegas’s Erotic Heritage Museum reopened, this time as a for-profit institution.

The museum houses over 17,000 square feet of artistically expressive erotica with exhibits detailing the sexual hypocrisy in politics, religion, education and entertainment. Its academic section is also expanded.

Sex Machine Museum, Prague

This museum is devoted entirely to the history and display of “mechanical erotic appliances, the purpose of which is to bring pleasure and allow extraordinary and unusual positions during intercourse,” says its website.

The Dutch have a wild side to them like few others. The famous ‘Venustempel’ in Amsterdam proof.  

The museum which sees more than 5,00,000 visitors each year focuses on “the theme of sensual love.”

Museu de l’erotica, Barcelona

Located in Barcelona’s La Rambla neighborhood, the museum is dedicated to the exploration of erotica in various forms -- anthropological, archaeological, artistic and literary.

The museum is the world's largest public view collection of erotic art. The exhibit contains art, sculptures, tapestries and artifacts gathered from around the world by the founder 71-year-old Naomi Wilzig.

This sex museum devoted to the erotic art collections of antique dealer Alain Plumey and French teacher Jo Khalifa. Founded in 1997, the has a collection that ranges from the ancient religious art of India, Japan and Africa right up to contemporary art with an erotic focus.
