The police said that the man, identified as Balaji, had a long standing dispute with some persons over the land in Vettapalayam. He had lodged a complaint on Friday, stating that Nagaraj had threatened him with dire consequences in 2007 if he reported the matter to the police.
Based on the complaint, Nagaraj was arrested on Saturday, the police said.
