India said on Monday the attack near Lahore proved once again that terrorist activities have been continuing unchecked in Pakistan but refused to draw a parallel between the incident and the Mumbai [Images] strikes.

"I am shocked. It once again proves that terrorism has not been eliminated in Pakistan and was rather continuing unabated," External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee [Images] told media-persons after a poll rally in Murshidabad district of West Bengal.

Home Minister P Chidambaram [Images] said India was deeply concerned over the development. "We condemn these terrorist attacks. We condemn all terrorist attacks," he told reporters in Delhi [Images] when asked to comment on terrorists storming a police training centre near Lahore [Images].

Asked whether he saw any parallel between the Lahore incident and the Mumbai attacks, he replied in negative. "But, the commonality is these are terrorist attacks. The difference is that in Mumbai the source of terrorist attack was Pakistani soil. In the case of (Lahore) attack we do not know who is behind it," Chidambaram said.
