Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Shivaji Bhor was attacked by two unidentified persons near Chhatrapati Maharaj statue in Nashik, police said on Friday.

Bhor, a businessman and director of local Merchants Bank was attacked on Thursdauy night by the duo using a sharp knife, when he was talking to his friends in the Nashik road area, they said.

He was rushed to a private hospital in Nashik, police said adding search is on to nab the youths, who fled from the scene after the incident.

Bhor, who was earlier with the Shiv Sena joined MNS three months ago.
