Protesting Karnataka's stand on the boundary dispute with Maharashtra, a group of Shiv Sainiks today vandalised a theatre in Pune and stopped the screening of a Kannada film, police said.

The Sena activists also removed posters of the film at Ratan cinema located in the heart of the city.

Meanwhile talking to PTI, Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant said the party activists will continue to oppose screening of Kannada films in the city till the issue was resolved.

A few days ago, the party had targeted Karnataka bound state transport buses, erasing Kannada words written on it and painting Marathi slogans in saffron demanding inclusion of Belgaum, Dharwad and Nipani in Maharashtra. Cases have been registered into the matter but no arrests have been made so far, police said.
