The gruesome siege drama in Mumbai has claimed the lives of at least 13 foreign nationals and left 22 of them injured.

According to Union Home Ministry data released on Thursday evening, eight foreign nationals were dead and 22 injured in the Mumbai terror attacks. These figures do not include the death of five Israelis in Nariman House, whose killing was confirmed later by National Security Guards chief J K Dutt.

The deceased included three German nationals and one each from Japan [Images], Canada [Images] and Australia [Images], Special Secretary (Internal Security) M L Kumawat said in New Delhi [Images] at a press briefing on the Mumbai attacks.

Kumawat said among those injured, five are from United Kingdom, three from Germany [Images], two each from the United States and Oman, and one each from Norway, Spain, Canada, Finland, Philippines, Austria, Italy [Images] and China. The nationality of two others was not known.

A 51-year-old German national Burgeroch was brought dead from the Taj Hotel to the Breach Candy hospital, where two other German nationals -- Bernardelite (45) and Benjamin Matthiys  (26) -- are undergoing treatment.

At the Jaslok Hospital, three British nationals -- Michael Murphy (58), Dianne Murphy (53) and Harsh Patel (29) -- have been admitted.

Two visitors from Oman -- Al Zadjali Miran Sahil (19) and Al Raisi Muneera Mohd (35) -- have been admitted at the Saifee Hospital.
