One of the seriously wounded persons in Friday's blasts at Malegaon, who was admitted to Dhule Civil Hospital has been shifted to the J J Hospital in Mumbai as the patient's brain was badly injured, according to the civil surgeon of Dhule, Dr T D Khot.

"At Dhule near Malegaon, 10 seriously injured patients were brought, of which one was badly hurt in the brain. So we immediately shifted the patient to J J hospital in Mumbai", Khot told PTI from Dhule.

The other nine patients had received serious injuries in legs, chest and some had fractures and necessary operations were conducted on them, Khot said.

Meanwhile, Nasik Civil Hospital sources said no patient was brought there from Malegaon.

The health directorate officials in Mumbai said over 50 patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals in Malegaon and Dhule while 52 patients were discharged on Friday after preliminary treatment.
