Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on Saturday left for home wrapping up a week-long visit to France [Images] and the United States where he held crucial talks with top world leaders including Presidents George W Bush [Images] and Jacques Chirac.

Dr Singh also held discussions with Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

Civilian nuclear energy cooperation and UN reforms had topped the agenda of Dr Singh's talks with Chirac while the prime minister discussed with Bush the Indo-US nuclear deal and the mounting confrontation between Iran and the US over Tehran's controversial nuclear programme.

The bilateral peace process and Kashmir issue dominated the talks between Dr Singh and Musharraf.
