Effervescent Rashtriya Janata Dal chief and former Bihar chief minister Laloo Prasad Yadav says one day he will become the prime minister of the country.

"I have full confidence that one day I will become the prime minister," Yadav said.

"Vajpayee cannot aspire to become the prime minister again after the Lok Sabha polls next year as his party BJP will be routed," he said.

Yadav, who travelled from Delhi to the remote desert town of Ahore in western Rajasthan to seek blessings of Jain monk Hemendra Suriswar, said the NDA government at the Centre had failed on all fronts and even the country's borders were not safe in its hands.

After promising employment to crores of youths, the Vajpayee government had actually curtailed job opportunities, he said.

Laloo said he was seeking blessings of 'real saints' to oust BJP from power at the Centre.

"Places like Ayodhya have become a haven for fake saints. Therefore, I am visiting real saints here," he said.
