Hindu can never be a terrorist, no terrorist a Hindu: Modi

Hitting out at the Congress and Pakistan President Gen Pervez Musharraf with equal venom, caretaker Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said it is high time Musharraf understood that 'a Hindu can never be a terrorist and no terrorist can be a Hindu'.

Addressing public meetings at several places in Mehsana district on the second day of the tenth leg of his Gaurav Yatra, Modi launched a tirade against the Pakistani ruler claiming, "Muslims are much safer in India."

Expressing hope that people would elect a BJP government capable of teaching Pakistan a lesson, Modi lambasted the Congress saying, "The power hungry Congress may have earned accolades on Pakistan TV for speaking the same language as miya Musharraf and could also worship his shoes, but it is not in their interest as Gujarat is now conscious of its self-esteem."

The tenth leg of the Yatra was to culminate with Modi addressing a public meeting at Gandhinagar late on Saturday night.
