Look out, folks. Shah Rukh Khan is back.

The actor is making a comeback to the small screen with Zor Ka Jhatka, the Indian version of the internationally popular game show Wipe Out on Imagine TV.

Shah Rukh will take 30 television stars out of their comfort zone in an obstacle course set in Argentina. At stake is Rs 1.5 crore, including a mega cash prize of Rs 50 lakh for the winner of the finale.

The participants on the show include Akashdeep Saigal, Amit Sareen, Ashima Bhalla, Bhakhtiyaar Irani, Claudia Ciesla, Debina Bonnerjee, Dimpy Mahajan, Gaurav Chopraa, Gracious D' Costa, Hanif Hilal, Jennifer Winget, Karishma Tanna, Krushna Patil, Kushal Punjabi, Manas Katyal, Manoj Kumar, Mink Brar, Narayani Shastri, Natasha Suri, Payal Rohatgi, Priyadarshani Singh, Raja Chaudhary, Rohit Verma, Simran Kaur Mundi, Sonika Kaliraman, Annie, Vindu Dara Singh, Soumya Tandon and Vrajesh Hirjee.

Giving us a taste of what's to come, SRK charmed the gathering at a press conference last week with his wit. Asked about his own zor ka jhatka experiences, he replied, "I got a zor ka jhatka in my personal life when I became a father. It was a pleasant experience. Professional, I got it when I jumped with Sushmita Sen while shooting for her film. It was embarrassing and painful too."[Smiles]

'I believe that my job has always been to entertain'

The actor who has been recovering this year from a shoulder injury said he is very happy to be back on TV. "I am so charged to be back. This is just the right show," he said.

"I am very excited to be back on the small screen as I am doing something completely different from what I've done before. I believe that my job has always been to entertain and I am ready to do that irrespective of the medium," he added.

SRK said he had his children have watched the international version of the show often and really loved it. "It promises to be a roller coaster ride and I'm looking forward to being a super funny host/commentator and make you all have loads of fun."

'Comedy is a double-edged sword'

The actor says he dislikes comparisons with his colleagues. All of them bring good entertainment on TV, he says.

"Everyone thinks that I am the Badshah of Bollywood, but I'm actually the Badshah of the Bedroom. I'm not being vulgar; I'm only saying this because most families sit in the bedroom and watch TV. We do it in our house as well. When I say I'll be the King of the Bedroom, I mean that I'll bring entertainment to the bedroom," he clarified.

Shah Rukh also spoke about the controversy in Dhaka. "When I did my stage show in Dhaka and wore the belly dancing skirt over my pants for an act, I didn't think anyone would be offended. I've done that act all over the world and it's been appreciated everywhere. Comedy is a double-edged sword. Sometimes people get offended. All you can do is apologise," he added.

'Madhuri Dixit is my darling'

Shah Rukh also shared his experience of meeting his former co-star Madhuri Dixit at Filmistan Studios in Mumbai when he was there to shoot for his film Ra.One.

When Shah Rukh got to know that Madhuri was shooting for the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa in the same place, he didn't waste any time to meet her. The cameras were in fact rolling when he entered the sets and walked up to greet the actress.

"We spoke about our children at length and had a gala time," he said of the encounter.

Shah Rukh Khan, who shared good chemistry with Madhuri in films like Dil To Pagal Hai and Devdas, is more than willing to team with her once again.

"She is a fantastic actor. I am very fond of her and she is my darling. I just love her completely."
