PIX: Shilpa Shukla, Anurag Kashyap at Ladakh Film Festival

This is the ongoing festival's third edition.

Anurag Kashyap's Ugly, his first directorial venture since the widely acclaimed Gangs of Wasseypur that came out in 2012, was screened on day two of Ladakh Film Festival.

BA Pass actress Shilpa Shukla, also the Ladakh International Film Festival host, was among many film personalities who attended the premiere at the Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra near Shanti Stupa, Ladakh.

A psychological thriller, Ugly stars Ronit Roy, Girish Kulkarni and Tejaswini Kolhapure in significant roles.

It was screened in the Directors' Fortnight segment of the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and opened the New York India Film Festival earlier this year.
