The Bachchans celebrated Diwali as well as Aishwarya Rai's birthday with a lavish party at their home on November 3.

Ash and hubby Abhishek Bachchan wore colourful clothes, as they welcomed the guests.

The Bachchans -- Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek and Ash -- made a memorable picture with the Khans, Shah Rukh and Gauri.

Amitabh later posted on his blog: "It was wonderful to see all, from Shah Rukh to Katrina to Anushka to Ranbir and everyone, all ...relaxed and in comfort of the auspicious moment, in the comfort of each other, of their laughter and camaraderie...a warmth in my heart." 

Shah Rukh Khan tweeted: 'Dignity...class....graciousness...will always stand apart. Thanks Mr. Bachchan, Jaya aunty, Abhishek and Aishwarya for a great evening and morning.'

Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor arrived together but did not pose for pictures with each other.

Anushka Sharma, who was spotted at Aamir Khan's party, made sure to stop by at the Bachchan party too.

Actress Alia Bhatt arrived with director Ayan Mukherjee.

Student of the Year heroes Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra arrived together.

Sonu Sood drove Farah Khan to the venue.

Sood is currently acting in Khan's forthcoming film, Happy New Year. The film also stars SRK.
