PIX: Akshay Kumar and Asin set the stage on fire!

Ahead of the release of his new film Khiladi 786, Akshay Kumar made an appearance at Mithibai college grounds in Vile Parle, a western Mumbai suburb, to perform on his new film's hit songs.

Dressed in a blue kurta, a colourful scarf around his neck and spiky shoes, the actor serenanded his onscreen love Asin.

The actor returns as a Khiladi in Ashish R Mohan's action-comedy that also stars Himesh Reshammiya, Paresh Rawal and Mithun Chakraborty in pivotal roles.

Asin was a pretty sight in a colour-blocked anarkali.

The song O Baawariya, picturised on the hit onscreen couple, is climbing up the popularity charts.

Asin and Akshay Kumar were previously cast together in Sajid Khan's Housefull 2.

Dressed in a sparkly black and white number, the film's item girl Claudia Ciesla joined Akshay Kumar on stage for a performance.

Ciesla appears in the song Balma from the film.

The trio then emerged together to take a bow amidst cheering fans.

The film is set for a December 7 release.
