PIX: Oprah Winfrey parties with Bollywood stars

Oprah Winfrey received a grand welcome on her arrival in Mumbai in the wee hours of Monday morning.

America's top television talk show host first headed for some work-related meetings to the suburbs and then hopped over to the Bachchan residence -- Jalsa -- to meet Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's baby girl. She spent an hour with the Bachchans.

Amitabh, along with Jaya, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan then escorted Winfrey to a hot and happening party thrown by socialite Parmeshwar Godrej at her Juhu bungalow.

PG's do quite obviously had an A-list of attendees -- industrialist Anil Ambani and his wife Tina, writer Shobhaa De and practically the entire Bollywood brigade.

Yup, Oprah wore a sari! An elegant orange and gold one.

She's scheduled to shoot her new travel show in India and also attend the Jaipur Literature Festival that kickstarts later this month.

Actor Lara Dutta posted a picture of herself with her Don 2 costar, Shah Rukh Khan and Winfrey with a tweet. She wrote, "@Oprah and @iamsrk, two people I absolutely adore! Thank you for making my day! Now can go into labour happily!"

SRK arrived with his wife Gauri for the Oprah party.

The Don 2 actor is already reportedly working on his next maha-ambitious project that's based on the life of an epic warrior and will feature a few biggie actors from Hollywood, with SRK in the lead.

SRK's Don 2 other lovely costar Priyanka Chopra dazzled in a green dress.

Hrithik Roshan, whose film Agneepath is up for release next week, arrived with wife Sussanne.

Actor Imran Khan sported a Brad Pitt-like beard (alas not the sexy black cane) as he arrived with wife Avantika Malik.

Actress Kangna Ranaut sported an old Hollywood-esque hairdo for the occasion.

Shilpa Shetty, who recently made her first public appearance since announcing her pregnancy, chose a glamorous western ensemble for the Meet-Oprah party.

Husband Raj Kundra was at her side.

Another mommy-to-be, Lara Dutta also made an exception as far as public appearances go.

The actress, who's mostly seen in cocktail dresses, turned up in Indian finery.

Anil Kapoor, who's working on the Hindi adaptation of hit television series 24, showed up with his glamorous daughter Sonam.

Actress Neha Dhupia made a stylish entry in a white cocktail dress and a chunky necklace.

Actor Abhay Deol came with his girlfriend -- Shor In The City actress Preeti Desai.

The couple has been all around town, attending dos hand-in-hand ever since they made their relationship status known.

A casually-dressed Kalki Koechlin arrived solo for the party.

Writer and columnist Shobhaa De looked glam. She attended with hubby Dilip De.

MP Shashi Tharoor, handsome in a dark bandh gala and red angavastram, was a surprise attendee. He came with wife Sunanda Pushkar.

Actor Anupam Kher arrived with wife Kirron and son Sikander.
