Bollywood pays tribute to Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse's premature death at the age of 27 shook fans all over the world, including in the Hindi film industry.

Singer-actress Shruti Haasan tweeted: 'RIP amy winehouse :( what a voice what a talent.'

Farhan Akhtar shared a thought by the singer. '"I burn my candle at both ends, it will not last the night, but ah my foes and oh my friends, it gives a lovely light." RIP Amy Winehouse,' he wrote.

Music composer Vishal Dadlani couldn't believe the news. 'Godamn! It is true. she's gone! Amy Winehouse, one of the most unique and mercurial songwriters of our time! God keep her safe! Amy Winehouse, dead at 27. RIP,' he updated.

Madhur Bhandarkar wrote: 'Shocked to hear the sad demise of AMY WINEHOUSE, May God bless the departed soul ,RIP !!!'

Celina Jaitly prayed for her. 'I cannot believe Amy Winehouse is no more ... I just cannot believe it ..so much talent .. gone forever ... Dear Amy u were and will always be loved by us who loved ur music ..may ur troubled soul find solace back at the maestros kingdom !' she tweeted.

Hard Kaur wrote: 'R.I.P Amy winehouse..u will be missed :( Back to Black- one of the sickest albums ever and very close to my heart.'

Sonam Kapoor loved Amy's voice. 'Amy winehouse for all the demons you faced I hope you at last have found your peace. I loved your big voice and your music.love & peace,' she updated.

Sameera Reddy tweeted: 'Amy Winehouse passed away... She was one of my favourite singers ! May her soul rest in peace!.'

Akshay Kumar seemed upset about her demise. 'I think, 2day many people wish that the talented #AmyWinehouse didnt say "No No No" 2 Rehab. Such a shame to lose sucha young Artist to what the world knew was inevitable #RIPAmyWinehouse,' he updated.

Stars condemn Norway attacks

Bollywood stars condemned the Norway bombings and shooting that killed at least 80 people.

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: 'Horror in Oslo, Norway ... our prayers and sympathies for all that suffer.'

Shabana Azmi criticized the attacks. 'Norway Massacre is to be condemned in d strongest words posbl 84 dead 32 year old Norwegian arrested no links with other groups found yet,' she wrote.

Dhobi Ghat actress Monica Dogra tweeted: 'a shame what has happened in Norway. Have spent time in Oslo w S+F and I swear it's the last place I'd expect such atrocity.'

Sisters Rhea and Sonam Kapoor prayed for the victims. '#prayfornorway it is hard to imagine what could drive one human being to take the life of another let alone many others. So
 sad. Sickening,' they tweeted.

Shah Rukh dines with the Dutts

Shah Rukh Khan's friendship with Sanjay Dutt is growing stronger. Known to being good hosts, the Dutts invited the actor for dinner over the weekend.

'had dinner with sanju baba and manyata...they have the most beautiful babies in the world. Masah Allah....and the best food at home. over fed...over pampered...over and out. Lov,' Shah Rukh tweeted.

Meanwhile, the actor was happy to dub for Sony Playstation game on Ra.One. 'dubbed for the sony playstation game on ra.one. i was so happy as i wrote before. i am so looking forward for it to come out in september,' he added later.

Bipasha: My relationship with John Abraham ended over a year ago

Bipasha Basu is miffed with the reports that she is nursing a broken heart in Kolkata.

She tweeted: 'Waking upto stories about my life everyday is no fun!Making me sound tragic when I am in a happy place is not ok with me! Wht happens between 2 ppl is supposed 2 stay between d 2 when its over,that's d dignity that I have grown up with and the respect I deserve.'

She took a dig at John Abraham, who disclosed some of their personal matters, in an interview with Simi Garewal.

'I dn't need to be on a talk show 2 prove my goodness!My relationship with John Abraham is over fr good,fr reasons knwn best to d both of us. My break up happened almost a year ago!Why r these stories coming up now? Is it a pr exercise for a film or overimaginative journalism?' she added.

 

Riteish-Genelia shoot after 7 years

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza are shooting together after seven years for Kumar S Taurani's film.

Riteish tweeted: 'Working with my first n my most favourite co-star @geneliad after 7 long years.Today is the first day of the shoot. Excitttteeeeddd yeaahh. My first film with TIPS - Kumarji (Taurani)- have been wanting to work with them for a long time.'

Genelia wrote back: 'dats such a sweet tweet rd, I think its goin 2b so much fun again, fingers crossed.'
