Madhur Bhandarkar: Heroine's back on track

After the grand photocall at the 64th Cannes Film Festival, Madhur Bhandarkar's dream project Heroine ran into trouble. It's apparently back on track with Kareena Kapoor replacing Aishwarya Rai.

'HEROINE is back on track, pre-production starts from today, need your blessings & prayers!!!' Madhur tweeted.

The film is about the life of an over the hill actress called Mahi Khanna and more or less similar to the life of divas such as Marilyn Monroe and Madhubala.

Here's hoping that the filmmaker gets to see the project through this time!

Amitabh gets injured while shooting Department

It seems to be a season of injuries for Bachchans. After Abhishek Bachchan, it's now Amitabh who's got injured while shooting.

Amitabh, who is currently shooting for Ramgopal Varma's Department, met with an accident during one action sequence.

'A minor incident on set during semi action sequence .. got hit on chest rib cage, some damage inside, pain on breathing, bearable ! Guess its the season for injury .. first Abhishek, now moi .. happens .. will repair on its own said doc .. he must be right !!' he tweeted.

His fans quickly tweeted their concern but the veteran actor tried to calm them down. 

'Okaay I seem to have let loose a cannon !! It will heal .. do not worry .. all shall be well .... Ha People of twitter world, relax ! Should never have mentioned.. just an accidental hit by either an elbow or the butt of a carbine !!' he added later.

He is also back on the sets. 'Thank you all for your get well wishes .. Healing well .. Father and son both back on set and at work .. Our love and gratitude !!' he updated.

Lata Mangeshkar's first starring role

Lata Mangeshkar reminisced about how she started out as a singer. She made her first stage appearance at the age of 8 against her father's will in a musical play called Punyaprabhav in the year 1938.

The lengendary singer wrote a brief note on Twitter recounting the incident: 'namaskar,aaj ghar mein hum sab baat kar rahe the ki maine gana kab shuru kiya,aur pehela stage performance kab kiya,tab mujhe yaad aaya 1938 mein jab hridaynath 1 saal ka tha, tab peheli baar maine maharashtra ke pandharpur mein mere pitaji ke company punyaprabhav is sangeet natak me stage par yuvraj ki bhumika ki,us waqt meri umr 8 saal ki thi,tab pitaji radio programme ke liye mumbai gaye the,pitaji ko ye baat pata nahi thi par maine zidd karke pitaji ke jo assistant the unko manaya aur us natak mein yuvraj ki bhumika ki,ye mera pehela stage performance tha,' she tweeted.

She also shared a picture from another play she'd been a part of. 'main krishna aur meena sudama ki bhumika mein...' she tweeted with the picture.
