Cast: Manoj Manchu, Sakshi Chaudhry, Simran Kaur Mundi, Rachel, Anupriya

Director: Pavan Wadeyar

Produced by Sireesha Lagadapati and Sridhar Lagadapati, Potugadu is the Telugu remake of the Kannada film Govindaya Namaha, which was director Pavan Wadeyar’s debut film. It was a hit in Kannada and one of the songs Pyaarge Aagbittaithe was a chartbuster.

Manoj Manchu is reprising the lead role played by Komal in the Kannada version.

This is supposed to be one of the most expensive films of Manoj’s career. He shot a song Buji Pilla for 24 hours non-stop. Achu composes the music. The music of two songs including the popular Pyaarge Aagbittaithe, is same as the Kannada film Govindaya Namaha.

Srikanth is the cinematographer and M R Varma is the editor. Ali, Raghu Babu, Thagabothu Ramesh and Srinivas Reddy are expected to enhance the humour quotient in the film.

Potugadu is slated to release on September 14
