Before Rani, we've had a long list of stars with hush-hush weddings.

Bollywood has a history of stars tying the knot in secret shaadis, and the latest to join the list are Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra.

The couple tied the knot at a quiet wedding in Italy on Monday.

Here’s a quick look at Hindi filmdom’s other hush-hush weddings.

John Abraham kept quiet over his relationship with Priya Runchal for many months.

Later, even when he went public with the relationship, he carefully avoided the word 'marriage'.

He finally broke the news when he tweeted New Year’s greetings ending with, ‘Love, John and Priya Abraham.’

Saif Ali Khan-Kareena Kapoor

When Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor fell in love, they practically let the news out to media within hours.

But that openness disappeared when it came to news of their marriage.

The day it actually happened, only close family members were invited, though the marriage registration was made public.

Vidya Balan-Siddharth Roy Kapur

Vidya Balan announced her love for SRK, and soon revealed that she meant Siddharth Roy Kapur.

The holidays the two took made news and when they went shopping for marriage and house-hunting, all that hit headlines too.

But the day they got married, it was all hush-hush.

No one quite knew the actual time or location until it was over.

Sanjay Dutt-Maanyata

It was public knowledge that Sanjay Dutt and Maanyata were dating for a couple of years and were all set to tie the knot.

Close family friends were pretty much in the know about D-day (or should we say W-Day?) too.

But the couple tied the knot at a private ceremony in Goa. Only a select few were invited.

There were pictures clicked and circulated, but Bollywood at large missed the celebrations.

Madhuri Dixit-Dr Sriram Nene

There was no shortage of potential suitors for Madhuri Dixit but it had started becoming clearer with every passing year that the man with whom she would eventually tie the knot would not be from Bollywood.

It was only after a news leak from Los Angeles about the ceremony that the world got to know that the man of Madhuri’s dreams was Dr Sriram Nene.

Celina Jaitly-Peter Haag

Celina Jaitly broke quite a few hearts when she made her marriage to Peter Haag public.

She had avoided being linked with men from Bollywood and there was no talk of any affairs.

She surprised all by announcing her marriage on Twitter.

Konkona Sen Sharma-Ranvir Shorey

Though there were whispers of them being a couple, no one knew for certain when Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey would eventually hitch up formally.

When the news broke that they had married at a private ceremony at Konkona's place, it was all quite sudden and surprising.

Sachiin Joshi-Urvashi Sharma

It was quite well known that Urvashi Sharma, who had been launched by Abbas-Mustan in Naqaab, was dating businessman-producer-actor Sachiin Joshi.

But they announced their marriage quite suddenly, through social media.

Later, however, a lavish reception followed.

Manoj Bajpai-Neha (Shabana Raza)

No one had any clue whatsoever about Manoj Bajpai and Neha being a couple.

While Manoj was doing fine in Bollywood, Neha wasn't as active, despite having been launched by Vidhu Vinod Chopra in Kareeb.

No wonder, Bollywood insiders as well as media were totally taken aback when it was revealed they had got married.
