Anup Jalota's wife passes away

Singer Anup Jalota's wife Medha passed away in the US on Monday. She was 59.

Shekhar Kapur, who was earlier married to her, tweeted: 'Probably the bravest person I ever knew. Medha Jalota. Rest in Peace Medha, You showed that life can be lived and loved despite all odds.'

Poonam Dhillon wrote: 'Woke up to the extremely sad news of a dear friend Medha Jalota passing away in NY. My deepest condolence to @anupjalota. Will miss her.'


Hrithik Roshan gets nostalgic

Dhoom 2 has completed eight years and its lead actor Hrithik Roshan got nostalgic.

'8 years of Dhoom 2! What a transformational experience it was for me. Thank u all for the love!' he tweeted.

'Dont hide ur weaknesses guys.Talk abt it but state it wth strength 2inspire others.Never look fr negative sympathy.B aryan!' he added.


Shabana Azmi: Hope Libaas will get a release now

The 1988 film Libaas was recently screened at the ongoing International Film Festival of India and its lead actress Shabana Azmi hopes that the classic drama will finally release now.

'Hearing such good reactions to Gulzar sbs film Libaas at IFFI. I wasn't even told it was showing! Hope it finally gets a release now,' Azmi tweeted.

The film, which was written and directed by Gulzar, is about married couples committing adultery. It also features Naseeruddin Shah, Raj Babbar, Sushma Seth and Utpal Dutt.


Hansal Mehta to produce gay film

Filmmaker Hansal Mehta of Shahid and Citylights fame is all set to make a gay love story with actors Rajkummar Rao and Manoj Bajpayee. 

'Prep for Karma Pictures' first production is on! Casting by @CastingChhabra & my dedicated crew in direction and production are killing it!' Mehta wrote.

The film will on go floors early next year.


Amitabh Bachchan gets nostalgic

The Big B showered praise on Raj Kapoor on Twitter.

'Last night surfing channels .. and .. Raj kapoor's "Awaara" ! Goodness me !! Seeing it after almost 60 years ! GLUED to TV .. Remembered each scene, edit, song and interlude music .. Tried doing that for a recent released film of mine .. nothing !! WATCH if possible .. background score .. two distinct songs in later films made from it .. SHEER GENIUS !!! In 'Jis desh mein Ganga behti hai' and 'Bobby' .. see if you can catch it !!' he tweeted.


Sreesanth, Gulshan Devaiah join Cabaret cast

Former cricketer player Sreesanth is all set to make his acting debut in upcoming film Cabaret.

Pooja Bhatt tweeted: 'Sreesanth on board Pooja Bhatt’s film ‘Cabaret’!'

Gulshan Devaiah will also star in the film. He confirmed and wrote: 'I get paired with my dear @kalkikanmani #LOVEAFFAIR & my lovely @RichaChadha_ #CABARET #BloodyBrilliant @PoojaB1972 all cat lovers.'

The film will feature Richa Chadda, Randeep Hooda, and Kalki Koechlin.
