With OTT gaining popularity, several stars will make their debut on digital platforms.

Joginder Tuteja tells us what we can expect from them.

Ajay Devgn
Rudra: The Edge of Darkness
Disney+Hotstar

Rudra is an official adaptation of the BBC crime drama Luther, which starred Idris Elba as a complicated British policeman.

Even though Devgn has been working on close to half a dozen films, he has finished shooting a substantial part of this Web series.

After The Family Man, Director duo Raj & DK's next series will feature their quirky sense of humour.

It will be interesting to see how Shahid leads the show, especially since his last outing Kabir Singh as well as his next release Jersey are both in an emotionally dramatic space.

For someone who chooses his projects carefully and also after not having a release in 2020 and 2021, one can expect Shahid to have something truly special here.

Aditya Roy Kapur
The Night Manager
OTT platform not revealed yet

Was Hrithik Roshan in contention for the official remake of the Tom Hiddleston starrer The Night Manager, based on John Le Carre's novel?

What is known is that Aditya has started shooting for the desi version of the British series.

The original kept viewers on edge, and one waits to see how Aditya makes the role his own.

In 2020, two of his films -- Ludo and Sadak 2 -- arrived straight on OTT, so he would be happy to be making an original here.

Akshay Kumar
The End

Akshay made the announcement way back in 2019 that he would make his OTT debut with the Web series, The End.

It was an important announcement since at that time not many major stars were venturing into the OTT space.

This multi-crore extravaganza with an international setting will go on the floors in 2022.

Varun Dhawan
Citadel remake
OTT platform not revealed yet

The buzz is strong that Varun will lead the cast in the Indian version of Citadel.

The thriller will be directed by Raj & DK after they finish their Shahid Kapoor starrer.

This will be in an entirely different space for Varun compared to the films that he is doing currently: The comedy Jug Jug Jeeyo, the horror Bhediya and the biopic Ekkis.

For someone who saw the arrival of his big screen film Coolie No 1 straight on OTT, it would be a new experience to shoot for an OTT original.
