The event was organised by the India First Foundation and Jaspal Enterprises Limited. Top policemen like Director General of Police S S Virk attended the show, which was compered by retired DGP T K Chowdhury.
Among the donors were India First Foundation (Rs 6 lakhs), HDIL (Rs 3 lakhs), Punjab National Bank and Bank of Maharashtra (Rs 2 lakhs each). The money from the sale of tickets amounted to Rs 10 lakhs. The cheques were handed over to Jagjit Singh, who gave them to Virk, who will hand it over to Mumbai Police Commissioner Hassan Ghafoor.
