Suniel Shetty has settled out of court a copyright row over his forthcoming film Bhaagam Bhaag for Rs 75 lakh and accepted that his film is indeed a Hindi remake of the Malayalam superhit, Mannar Mathai Speaking.

The producer of the Malyalam film Mani Kappan has now withdrawn his case, his counsel Majid Memon said.

Last week the Bombay high court had issued notices to the producers of the film, Shetty, Raj Mehta, director Priyadarshan [Images] and story-screenplay writer Neeraj Vora in the suit.

Bhaagam Bhaag stars Akshay Kumar [Images], Govinda [Images], Paresh Rawal [Images] and Rajpal Yadav and is due for release on December 22.

Interestingly, Mannar Mathai Speaking is the sequel to the huge Malayalam hit, Ramji Rao Speaking which was later made into the blockbuster Hindi film, Hera Pheri.
