Any plans of making a big-budget film?

I will never make a big budget film for the sake of making a big budget film. People say they are making a film on a Rs 16 crore budget. When I ask them the story, they say they are still working on it. They don't have a script, but they have a budget!

If my film demands Rs 10 crore, I will spend it. Jism could have been made in Rs 8 crore. But did it really require that much? Because you didn't miss the money on the film when you watch it. It was made on a Rs 3 crore budget. It was shot in Pondicherry. It did not require big sets because I required a heighten sense of reality.

Tomorrow, if I were interested in spending, I would love to make an animation film, a period film or a fantasy film like Sindabad the sailor or the Arabian Nights.

Subash Ghai is smart. He made Taal in Khandala, not Switzerland, and it looked good. You need to spend at the right time. I don't compromise on quality but I don't believe in wastage. I will not spend money that will not be seen.
