Mrs. Britney FederlineWhen you are a popstar with a penchant for constant scandal and blatantly sexual music videos, what do you do in order to grab more headlines on the photo-op of photo-ops, your wedding? Well, you surely decide not to settle for the simple paparazzi grabbed spreads full of not-quite-camera-evading celebrities at your ceremony, pictures in the white dress, et al.

Instead, you court more controversy than ever. Britney Spears, 22, married her dancer boyfriend Kevin Federline amid fevered speculation, fuelled by her earlier nuptials, an alcohol-fuelled Vegas affair that lasted only hours before it got conveniently annulled and buried under a barrage of giggly sheepishness.

The wedding with Federline last month took place at a friend's house in Studio City, California last month, and the starlet dismissed legality as a mere hurdle as they apparently felt like they were married spiritually and emotionally, and that's what counts.

Now, in what is hopefully the last bit of headline grabbing from a wedding, they have filed the necessary paperwork to make their marriage legal.

A report in imdb.com says Spears' publicist Leslie Sloane Zelnick saying: 'All the proper paperwork was dealt with, filed, done. It's all legal.'

California law requires newlywed couples to file a marriage license within 90 days of the wedding.
