Farah's wedding to her Main Hoon Na editor Shirish will be a quiet function, with a guest list of about 50, including Shah Rukh Khan, Manish Malhotra, Rani Mukherji, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan and her Main Hoon Na cast Sushmita Sen, Zayed Khan and Amrita Rao.

Meet the man Farah Khan will marry

The reception, on December 10, will be celebrated on a grander scale, though the venue remains the same. The guest list will be extended to 200.

The reception will be hosted by Farah's mother.

According to the Mumbai-based tabloid Mid-Day, the bride will wear a red and gold chiffon sari designed by Manish Malhotra, a gold-coin jewellery set gifted by Sushmita Sen and diamond jewellery. The latter was designed by socialite and businesswoman Queenie Dhody and gifted to Khan by her close friend Sanjay Pasi and his wife.

But it was the sangeet that seems the wedding's grandest event. Farah wore a pink legenga choli weighing five kilos and long white gold and diamond earrings. Shirish wore a silver white sherwani with a pink drape.

Both outfits were designed by Manish Malhotra.

The sangeet saw a guest list of about 400, including the Bachchans, Amar Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Mira Nair.

Mumbai's Hyatt Regency, where the function was held, served a wide variety of Thai, Italian, Mexican, Lebanese and Indian cuisine.

Karan Johar performed a skit while Sonu Nigam and Boman Irani sang.

Honeymoon: Kosa Mui, Thailand.
