Reliance Infrastructure on Monday posted a whopping over 78 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 728 crore (Rs 7.28 billion) for the third quarter ended December 31.
The company had reported a net profit of Rs 408 crore (Rs 4.08 billion) in the corresponding quarter of previous year (2011-12).
Total operating income of the company stood at Rs 5,296 crore (Rs 52.96 billion) against Rs 6,160 crore (Rs 61.6 billion) in the year-ago
period, Reliance Infrastructure said in a statement.Reliance Infrastructure is present in engineering, procurement and construction, energy and infrastructure segments.
Shares of the company were trading down by 1.50 per cent at Rs 530.50 apiece on the BSE in the afternoon trade.
