Maruti Q2 net rises to Rs 262.66 cr

Maruti Udyog Ltd on Friday reported a 43.06 per cent rise in net profit of Rs 262.66 crore (Rs 2.62 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 as compared to Rs 183.60 crore (Rs 1.83 billion) in the year-ago period.

The total income has increased 15.89 per cent to Rs 3,149 crore (Rs 31.49 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 from Rs 2,717.20 crore (Rs 27.17 billion) in the same period last fiscal, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
