Wipro launches global mgmt centre

Wipro Infotech, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, on Thursday announced the launch of its high-tech Global Service Management Centre in Mysore.

The facility would provide integrated service delivery across applications and infrastructure for India, Middle East and Asia Pacific customers and also act as a backup centre for global customers, a company statement said.

The newly constructed centre has a current capacity of 400, capable of operating across three shifts and is designed for scalability, it said.

"This will be the nerve centre for providing seamless IT lifecycle services leveraging knowledge, tools and processes and measured through business impact metrics," said Thandava Murthy, chief executive, professional services, Wipro Infotech.

"This integrated service delivery framework, which leverages Wipro's globally acknowledged remote delivery capabilities has substantial advantages over the traditional model in terms of service manageability, predictability, reliability and responsiveness," said Suresh Vaswani, president, Global IT Services lines and Wipro Infotech.

"The service offerings are strangely differentiated and sets a new benchmark for services delivery to meet the ever growing business challenges of our customers", he added.
