Sensex gains 51 points at close

The Sensex closed with a gain of 51 points at 4,453. While 22 index scrips advanced, eight declined today.

Infosys advanced Rs 50 to Rs 4,524. Satyam added 3% (Rs 8) to Rs 254. HCL also finished in positive zone.

BHEL zoomed 5% (Rs 21) to Rs 404. SBI advanced Rs 9 to Rs 452. HPCL, however, was down Rs 11 at 362.

HLL moved up 2% (Rs 3) to Rs 183. Reliance also gained 2% (Rs 9) to Rs 444. ITC, however, was down Rs 12 at Rs 801.

Zee zoomed 6% (Rs 8) to Rs 123.

Hero Honda gained 5% (Rs 14) to Rs 309.

Cipla, Dr. Reddy's and Ranbaxy finished with gains today.
