Mumbai designer Anita Dongre’s latest collection, Varanasi Weaves, sought inspiration from the hand-woven cottons of one of the world’s most ancient cities.

Dia Mirza, who was the celebrity model for the talented Mumbai designer, seemed to enjoy every bit of it.

Dongre didn’t entirely ignore men but the line was clearly tilted towards women.

The few menswear designs featured unstructured jackets in white linen (such as this one seen on Amit Ranjan), waistcoats, sheer shirts, kurtas, bundgalas, dhotis and slim trousers.
