Can exercise induce orgasms in women?

Yes! A study says so.

A recent study has claimed that orgasm is not just a sexual event. An increasing number of women are experiencing exercise-induced orgasms (EIO) called "coregasms".

The co-author of the study, Debby Herbenick, said that the findings are interesting as they suggest that orgasm was not necessarily a sexual event because most women reporting EIO said that they were not fantasising sexually or thinking about anyone they were attracted to during their experiences, the Daily Star reported.

According to the study, any abs-engaging exercise could trigger a "coregasm" and for women, the most reliable piece of gym equipment that resulted in sexual arousal, was the "captain's chair".

Other orgasm-boosting activities include pole dancing, spinning and weightlifting.

This study is published in the journal Sexual and Relationship Therapy
