PICS: Versace's lingerie-inspired line opens Paris FW

Don't miss the Italian fashion house's opening of Paris Fashion Week yesterday, where supermodel Naomi Campbell made a triumphant return to the catwalk as their muse after a 15-year gap.

It was the first haute couture showing of the season for both Versace and Paris Fashion Week, which kicked off in the City of Lights last night.

The luxury label's latest offerings, inspired by the iconic glamour of the black-and-white era in movie history, were flamboyant and rather daring, with several lingerie-like touches.

What's more, Naomi Campbell caused quite a stir as she took to the ramp amid cheers, defying her age of 43 with a perfectly toned figure and flawless complexion.

Plenty of sparkle and sheer panels were a trademark of the collection, as seen on this peek-a-boo jumpsuit sliced down to the navel.

The sophistication of a sleek sheath is broken by the sexy cut-away detailing.

The see-through trend continues with these heavily sequinned separates featuring chainmail panels down the front.

Versace's signature extravagance shines through with this exquisitely tailored maroon creation.

Naomi makes a lasting impression in this luxurious crystal-embellished jacket dress, put together using hooks and eyes that are deliberately left undone in places.

Fur comes to the fore with this deep blue ensemble, fastened together rather precariously down both the front and back.
