Don't miss Sabyasachi's grand closing on Day Three of the LFW.

Presenting the look of the North West Frontier Province and the styles favoured by the ladies of Patiala, Sabyasachi Mukherjee added touches of Kathak and Kathakali to his latest offerings, which brought Lakme's third day to a spectacular close.

Starting off with a live performance by famous Kathak dancer Dr Mitul Sengupta, the presentation saw nearly 50 models -- women, men and children --take to the ramp in colour-coordinated groups.

Using khadi, organza, net, silk and velvet and the beautiful threadwork of Kashmir, with zardozi in shimmering silver and floral designs, the designer reminded us once again of his love for traditional Indian handicrafts.

Seen here are a pair of models in dhoti pants, tunics and headscarves.

Ethnic androgyny

Beautiful threadwork-sporting waistcoats are teamed with shirts and dhoti pants for effect.

Skirting the issue

Voluminous skirts and exquisite jackets make for a curious combination, topped off with dotted neckscarves.

In a throwback to India's glamour in years past, models present stunning designs and embroidery on a black and white palette.

Hint of colour

The tone then shifts to champagne and black, with bright floral scarves in sharp contrast.

Enter the menfolk

Sabya takes another ongoing trend and fuses it with Indian garments -- colour-blocking, in beautiful citrus tones yet.

Almost identical

Palazzo pants? Shararas? You decide, but these two similar ensembles are nothing if not Indian-chic, particularly the embossed jackets.

Demure damsels

Patiala salwars are presented in three distinct styles, with tunic, kameez and top.

Layered look

We see voluminous skirts once again, this time with shirts and vests combined. The layered look is urbane, but don't miss the beautiful ethnic threadwork.

Carrying a message

The designer offers up tees with messages in Udu embroidered on, worn with Afghan palazzos.

Triple togs

The crop top is the focal piece among this trio, while rich silk dupattas seek to frame it from all sides.

Fathers and daughters

Little girls look adorable in Sabya's children styles, while the male models show off sherwanis with kitschy floral churidaars.

Rich fabric, hues and embroidery

Deep red and purple make an impression by way of these flawless, rich-looking embroidered tunics.

Dupatta dazzlers

Models show off delicate dupattas in maroon and green with beautiful handworked floral motifs.

Couture couple

Velour is at the fore once more with these stunning his 'n' hers ensembles.

Elegance personified

A classic black net sari -- and a beautiful one at that! The men's jacket is equally jaw-dropping.
