Here's a look at designs by Atithi Gupta, Nupur Kanoi and Ruchika Sacheva, showcased collectively on Day Five of the LFW. Photographs: Rajesh Karkera

The final day of Lakme Fashion Week saw an impressive array of lines by young upcoming designers.

In the following pages we bring you a look at three such talents, starting with Atithi Gupta, who offered up several short and sexy numbers with intricate detailing; seen here is Candice Pinto in just such a dress, with cutwork at the waist and a daring see-through neckline.

Blue and purple hotties take to the runway sporting pleats, cutwork and hiked-up hemlines.

Hemangi Pate struts her stuff in a grey cut-out number featuring pleats and draping.

A purple panelled mini sports sparkle on the shoulders, while the LBD on the right is quite the attention-grabber.

Gangs Of Wasseypur actress Huma Qureshi steps out in the showstopper, a black dress with exquisite gold cutwork on one shoulder.

The diminutive designer is dressed to the nines for the runway too!

Inspired by the Indian Maharaja and the Sadhu, Ruchika Sachdeva's latest collection from her label Bodice was androgynous.

Combining the two contrasting themes, the designer offered up sharp blazers and trousers, silk blouses, shirt dresses and pleated numbers for women, alongside culotte trousers, V-neck tunics and elongated shirts for men. Amusing white ghungroos and embroidered moustaches on the clothes further adhered to her inspirations.

Shades of maroon, burnt orange, olive and mustard dominated the garments, while the fabrics were chiefly hand-woven pure cotton denim, crepe, wool and tulle.

Seen here is Freddy Daruwala in a pair of pleated wide-legs, teamed with a fitted vest.

The silhouettes for both men and women possessed a masculine quality, as is apparent from this image.

A rust-toned pantsuit shows off sharp tailoring.

Tulle, together with a slim belt, is used to embellish this long-sleeved maxi.

It's unusual to see both a poncho and a jacket pieced together, but this ensemble manages to make the combination work.

Surrounded by her models, Ruchika Sachdeva makes a quick appearance at the close of her collection.

Calling her line 'Chapter Two', Nupur Kanoi was inspired by the Trojan and Grecian era, "when romance was very much a part of history for goddesses and warriors".

The silhouettes were voluminous yet asymmetric, with cord and thread embroidery as well as tie-dyeing details.

Seen here is a flowing black dress, with a purple threadwork shrug-like add-on giving it that touch of edginess.

We see Candice Pinto once more, in embossed pants and a pleated blouse, topped off with a stunning threaded waistcoat.

These delightful blue and white fantasies show off dyed and cutwork detailing.

The designer presents matching jackets and pants in a flurry of vibrant colour and intricate embroidery.

Sanea Shaikh strikes a pose in a green and black peplum jacket and matching pencil pants.

Kanoi matches up style-wise with her muse as she steps out.
