IMAGES: A futuristic fashion puzzle!

Known for his use of unconventional fabrics and futuristic silhouettes, designer Abhishek Dutta's showing latest creations generated quite a buzz at the LFW today.

The line is called 'Tangram', after an ancient Chinese dissection puzzle of the same name, which consists of seven flat shapes that are put together to form new patterns; the word 'tangram' itself is an obsolete English term meaning puzzle or trinket.

The garments fused both Western and Indian influences and the models wore metallic anti-pollution masks to indicate Dutta's 'No Pollution' message against modern-day life.

Seen here is model Diva Dhawan in a strategically-embellished dress with sheer bodice and flouncing skirt.

Next we see a funky shirt with a buckled brace across the neck that moves into a cape, worn over textured pants.

For the guys, we see a dip-dye kurta, worn under a leather-embellished jacket.

A palazzo jumpsuit comes into focus, moving from a sheer netted bodice to wide pants with pleats down each leg.

The designer offers up a chic jacket worn over a striped dress.

Geometric applique work defines this maxi, which is certainly feminine despite the futuristic theme.

A panelled jacket for men steps onto the runway, teamed with tapering textured pants.

Dutta creates a layered look with a tee sporting dip-dye sleeves, a leather waistcoat and printed pants.

Bollywood newbie Bidita Bag models the showstopper, a leather and woven fabric ensemble that hugs her curves.

Dutta takes to the ramp, accompanied by Bidita and two of his male models.
