Images: Winter just got sexier at NY Fashion Week!

We bring you glimpses of one of the world's biggest, most prestigious fashion dos -- check it out!

Ralph Lauren, Carolina Herrera, Naeem Khan, Vera Wang -- these are just a few of the big league players that showcased at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York last week.

The collections seen this season were nothing if not sexy. The garments were designed for fall-winter and they did more than warm us up -- they sent the temperature soaring!

If you don't believe us, check out this evening gown from Theyskens' Theory on Day , showcased on Day Five. A completely sheer bodice moves into a satin skirt, slit all the way up the front.

Sure, there were a lot of woollies on display, but how they were presented certainly enhanced their appeal! Like this navy affair from Irene Luft, for instance -- the hotpants and thigh-high boots certainly seem to lend it a lot of charm.

A lot of new young talent also emerges at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. This matching maroon hoodie and leather skirt were part of a line presented by the Academy of Art University.

Herve Leger is responsible for creating a worldwide craze with their bandage dresses and they stuck to the formula. Head designer Max Azria offered up this pristine white gown with cut-away stripes on Day Six.
