While Mahendra Singh Dhoni went about his job, leading Chennai Super Kings to a five-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday, we noticed a new face in the CSK fan club.

Fashon designer Masaba Gupta was spotted with Sakshi Dhoni in the stands at Sharjah.

The ladies were engrossed in the proceedings as Dhoni’s and Shikhar Dhawan’s teams battled it out in the middle.

Masaba, who has carved her own niche as a promising fashion designer, is rarely seen at cricket stadiums. The daughter of West Indies great Viv Richards and Indian actress Neena Gupta, Masaba seems to have struck a good rapport with the First Lady of Indian cricket.

They were seen having animated discussions. Knowing how fashion conscious both these ladies are, our guess is that their conversations centred around fashion and style.

The duo was soaking in the atmosphere as the players went about their job on a pitch that slow and low.

Chasing 146 to win Chennai rode on the 85-runs opening stand between Dwyane Smith and Brendon McCullum to beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by five wickets.

Even though Hyderabad bowlers kept things tight in the middle overs, giving Masaba and Sakshi some anxious moments, they didn’t have enough runs on board to challenge Chennai’s strong batting line up.
